A Program Built from Personal Experience

At Solo’s Spot, everything we do is rooted in real life. We created this program with a deep understanding of the challenges families face when searching for safe, supportive, and meaningful opportunities for their loved ones after they age out of the school system.

OUR STORY

Why We Created Solo’s Spot

Hi, we’re Abby and Ken, founders of Solo’s Spot Adult Day Program. We created Solo’s Spot because of our son, Solo.

Solo is autistic, and like many parents, we found ourselves thinking about the future—what happens when he turns 18? What options are available? Where will he go to feel safe, supported, and truly understood?

As we searched for answers, we realized there weren’t enough spaces designed specifically for adults like Solo—places that focus not just on care, but on connection, growth, and community.

That realization turned into a mission.

Built on Purpose, Care, and Commitment

Everything we do is guided by a clear mission—to create a supportive, inclusive environment where neurodivergent adults can grow, connect, and thrive.

OUR COMMITMENT

We understand that choosing the right program is an important decision. That’s why we are committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where families can feel confident knowing their loved ones are cared for with compassion and respect.

Our goal is simple: to provide a space where individuals can thrive—and where families can have peace of mind.

OUR APPROACH

At Solo’s Spot, we take a person-centered approach to everything we do. Each individual is unique, and our goal is to provide a structured yet flexible environment that supports their interests, needs, and goals.

Through engaging activities, social interaction, and skill-building opportunities, we create meaningful daily experiences that promote confidence, independence, and connection.

OUR PURPOSE

Solo’s Spot was built to create the kind of future we want for our son—and for so many others. A place where neurodivergent adults are not just cared for, but valued. A place where individuals can build independence, form real friendships, and feel a true sense of belonging.

We believe every person deserves the opportunity to grow, connect, and be part of a supportive community that sees their strengths.
